Pope Says Christians Should Believe Evolution... Say What?!

Pope Francis hath declared... evolution and the big bang are real and God is not a magician with a magic wand. The Pope then went on to explain the these "theories" are consistent with God being the Creator.
"When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so... He created human beings and let them develop according to the internal laws that he gave to each one so they would reach their fulfillment. The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it. Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve.”
This is interesting logic. God certainly is not a magician with a magic wand... He is God. Period. No explanation needed.

Does this logic not also call into question the virgin birth and miracles that Jesus did on earth? If God couldn't possibly have just spoken and brought all life into existence, then it is impossible that God would bring life from the virgin the Catholic church so highly exalt.

After all, Pope Francis, God is not a magician....

With approximately 1.2 BILLION Catholics in the world, what a great way for Satan to accomplish his task of making himself greater than God by diminishing His power. So many people will listen to the Pope and take what he says as Gospel (because after all, he is self proclaimed god on earth*). Yet, with they search the scriptures themselves? Will they search the scientific evidence that the evolutionists don't want you to us, proving the account of the Bible?

* We do not support all doctrines or claims of AmazingDiscoveries.org, however they provide much evidence that throughout the Roman Church's history, the Papacy has often claimed that the Pope is divine.
